Dr Marion Bain
Marion Bain has been Medical Director of NHS National Services Scotland since July 2009. Her previous experience includes clinical practice, public health medicine and medical management. This has been gained in a range of settings including teaching and district general hospitals, Departments of Public Health in health boards, the Scottish Government and NHS National Services Scotland. Marion was Medical Director of Information Services Division of NHS National Services Scotland from 2003 to 2009.
Marion is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and has a longstanding interest in tackling health inequalities within Scotland. She is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Health Sciences of the Medical School, University of Edinburgh.
